Zapfina font was designed in 1998 by Germany typeface designer Herman Zapf and owned by Linotype company. It is a calligraphic typeface based on the handwritten alphabet that Zapf penned in 1944. It also makes extensive use of character variations and ligatures. Zapfina has 4 sets of letters and more than 1400 characters. To get calligraphic typeface more enriched, Apple has adopted Zapfina font in its Mac Os X operating system.
